I myself have worked in (no-kill& kill) animal shelters & spay-neuter clinics as a veterinary technician manager & am New Jersey State certified to perform euthanasiaon on small animals. On any given day at the animal shelters, I was responsible for dispensing medications, examining, vaccinating, de-worming and most importantly finding permanent loving homes for over 100 dogs & 50 cats. Oh & if my 10 hour day wasn’t busy enough, on average I personally euthanized 10dogs & 15 cats daily. I know all about over crowed animal shelters as Ihave lived & seen it up close & personal. The overcrowding issue of abandoned & unwanted animals is solely the fault of irresponsible pet owners, puppy mills, pet stores & negligent breeders. If you haven’t caught my drift yet,I have many years experience with dogs of all breeds & screening potential adopters. I met both Lisa & Dave last December. After meeting Lisa for 2 hours, I immediately observed she was knowledgeable & compassionate of dogs. As I walked into their home, I was greeted by an elderly (gray-haired face) Boxer. It was a chilly December night & the (18 year old) Boxer was dressed for warmth as she was cover with a fleece jacket; and despite her age, appeared physically healthy as she played with the 4 month old puppies. It was then; I saw the devotion & proper care for dogs Lisa spoke about on her site. I had never owned or cared for an English bulldog before & Lisa was extremely thorough in discussing the breed’s health concerns, their temperament & needs. Not only did I have a lot of questions for Lisa, but she had questions for me as well & screened me to ensure I was the right fit for the dog. Needless to say, I have a Craven Acres English bulldog. She just turned 1 year old last month. My boyfriend & I take her to bulldog playgroups, bulldog rescue functions & dog parks all the time & are ALWAYS complimented on her physical & healthy appearance & temperament. My boyfriend & I joke now when we see great looking bulldogs (which are rare) & say “It must be a Craven Acres bulldog.” I can’t tell you how many times we are stopped dead in our tracks when we bring her out to public events (in her doggy stroller) & asked where we got her from. We are ALWAYS welcome to provide Lisa’s info to them because we know first hand the great quality of dogs she has. Anyone who is questioning Lisa’spractices does NOT know her. I returned to Craven Acres this past spring with my dog to pay Lisa & my dog’s littermate (sister) a visit. If I wasn’t already convinced Lisa cared for English bulldogs, I was reassured when I saw a female English bulldog sitting in a cage. I asked Lisa about the dog. Lisa rescued the malnourished dog from a puppy mill in Pennsylvania. From appearance alone, it was poorly bred & was the mother of MANY litters. Lisa pointed out to me all the features it displayed that would constitute her to not breed this particular dog which was done by the puppy mill. I don’t know if Lisa found the rescued dog a forever loving home, but if not, I’m sure she’s living healthy & happily under Lisa’s care on the farm. To Lisa: Your dedication to the breed shows in the quality of dogs you produce. You are in a separate class of breeders because you provide proper care, nutrition & socialization for your dogs. Your concentration to the breed’s well-being, temperament, health and most significantly your concern for congenital defects or disease of English bulldogs, sets you apart from other English bulldog breeders.

Kristen, That was Cindy...and yes Cindy was a present from Jim Davidson a previous adoptee who has adopted 3 now in total. Cindy was a wedding present to Jim's friend and on the day of the wedding the new upcoming bride had her wedding dress layed out on her bed as the new upcoming husband was out doing some chores before the wedding, well mrs Cindy didnt think it was fair that they had more important things to do other then cater to her and had fun with the wedding dress! Not sure of all the details but they married and didnt Kill Cindy!.....LOL all is good now that she is back to being main attraction. Kristen thanks for the good words you always seem to make me tear up! Daisey is doing well and is bundled up in her winter blanky.........she has gotten demanding in her old age with her want to do when she wants to do it! She is as healthy as a horse and at this time has no special needs......im fortunate, she is the result of my breeding boxer years.......when she goes I would get another just for a watch dog as we all know the bullys would jump in the car with the thieves to take a ride!

I have based my entire breeding business on Lisa's Dogs she is my mentor and has helped me through everything. I will say before I bred mastiffs and they stunk like a skunk! with that being said we have retired them but no longer have that stench in the air. people ask me how do i keep it so clean in my house with no smells I tell them its the food but people dont take advise like they should.Best of luck and Lisa i could never thank-you as much as i should. thanks for your hard work it makes things easier for the ones that want to better the breed and care about our family members!
