Welcome to Craven Acres on the Web. I know how hard it is to find a reputable breeder these days with all the puppy mills and back yard breeders and most of all.........SCAMS. I have tried to be as personal as I can on my site due to this. I believe i now have to get trust from potential buyers because of the scams and bad breeders, This is why I have listed everything about us other then our SS numbers. I feel I owe it to you and all our potential clients. So have a look around and see if we meet your standards as good responsible breeders of quality dogs we have raised for 22 years.
Nestled on our 60 acre farm in Vineland NJ, My husband (Dave)and I (Lisa) have planted our roots and devoted our lives to our animals. Here on the farm we breed for world caliber APHA halter horses. We also breed English Bulldogs. Our English Bulldogs are bred by us with a long line of Craven Acres blood lines, we have at least 3-4 generations here. Come see for yourself our dogs are agile and they don't just lay around.......... I believe that a bulldog should look like a bulldog and still be able to perform as to what they were bred to do!

All dogs are AKC registered & DNA on File why go with any other registry?By all means we do not inbreed,line breed or cross breed, The English Bulldog breed has become more mutinied by bad breeders through the years. We do not mass produce either! These pups are kissed and held 24/7 with nothing but love and complete devotion,I love what I do and I am damn good at it.
I and am very fortunate to be a stay at home mom to all my animals as we were never able to have children ourselves so......we have filled our home with 4 legged ones. All is done here, we are a full breeding facility offering progesterone testing,collections and AI to in or outside Studs or Bitches. Our puppies on an average run $2600 but have gone to $3500 for those rare colors and ones of show quality prospects. All our puppies come with a LIFE-TIME WARRANTY for life threatening conditions! We do not sell to puppy shops,dealers or stores there are no exceptions and we do not fly our dogs either unless have to. We ask that you don't purchase from them as you are promoting there business unfortunately for you............you will find out these reasons when your dog suddenly passes or you are up to your Pitts in vet bills. Yes they are cheaper because theres not allot of money invested in there dogs or any champion lineage that is why they can sell them cheap. Our pups are born under 24 hour supervision because they are in my bedroom! All our girls and Boys are raised in my home they are social and house trained with a 3 acre heavily fenced front and back yard,Rubber Deck playpen,sand box ,there own pool and play gym.Here is some estimated costs to why the English Bulldogs are priced the way they are:

#1. English bulldogs have really wide shoulders,large heads and at times can have what they call water puppies(walrus)and most require C-sections although larger litters are more succsesful to whelp natural.($800 and UP)
#2. Newborn litters require 24 hour intensive attention the first 2 weeks( A lack of sleep.....you decide)
#3. Proper care of the bitch yearly is $1200 proper care of the male is $1200(wormings and vaccines inc, time is not)
#4. Collection and AI are time consuming and costly,Stud fee's $600+ Shipping Fee's $200
#5. Care and cleaning of new pups plus vaccines and wormings $50 minimal each pup not including time and sleepless days and nights

This is not like raising or breeding Boxers in which I have done for 20 years prior to the Bulldogs. I still have a result(Daisey)of my past breeding the Boxers at the fine age of 18. Bulldog mommy's are under anesthesia for there C-section most do not give birth natural, some do but I DO NOT recommend it. For a $800 C-section and 1 hour later you are home getting prepared instead of waiting and wondering if the pup is stuck,alive or dead it is not worth loosing one pup let alone the entire litter and or the mommy, the moms could retain a pup get an infection and die. So when these girls wake up to these squirmy and yet demanding little bundles of joy they have no idea what has happened. You can only hope that mother instinct will kick in at this point. The pups are never unattended at any time,It takes making a cup of tea to only find a blue pup that mom has accidentally smothered. They are kept in a warm area away from mom at about body temp (98degrees)for they don't have a thermostat themselves and are unable to produce heat until there 3rd week.If they get a chill they will die! Feeding is every 2 hours for the first 2 weeks then can go every 3 hours the 3rd week. Sometimes feeding is done through a tube that is put through the mouth into its stomach I do this at night so everyone can get sleep except me but is a quicker way to feed. During the day they feed off there mom under my supervision.We do offer to whelp other people's litters for a fee of a puppy. We also sell our Clients pups when bred to our males. We offer adult rescues usually from puppy mills on occasion we will offer one of ours.I am always available for questions you may have,the better number to reach me is my cell phone for I am in and out of the house all day. Evenings are good when things have settled but I'm an early riser and am in bed by 9. So I appreciate no calls after then. The weekend's here are crazy! We also offer visitations on your puppy during the week or weekends clean up until they are 8 weeks to go home to there new family but at this point they know you and don't go through anxiety. They have been weaned off there mom for 2 weeks prior to you taking them home so don't worry...... that has all been done, its not like your ripping a puppy off his/hers mommy.The weaning is done slowly and is a 10 day process. Take a look around the website you will find most of your questions to be answered here or there and we have a forum as well. If you want to be put on the waiting list you have to sign the guestbook this way you receive all the updates here on the farm, results from ultra-sounds,new rescue and who is expecting ect. We show the pups at 2 weeks then a deposit is taken at that point. I do not take deposits till then, I am old fashion....... by not counting my chickens before they hatch!
